For customers staying at Siem Reap Rooms Guesthouse we offer a number of Angkor Day tours, some which are listed below. We also have a number of other tours available on arrival. Please note that our Angkor Day Tours can ONLY be booked on arrival at the guesthouse and they are only available for guests staying with us. If you are looking to book an Angkor tour with us but you are not staying at our guesthouse then we can arrange tours for you for 2 days or more. Mini Angkor Tour
Mini Angkor Tour
The Mini tour needs to be the first day trip you add to your itinerary as it includes the main temples of Angkor. During your tour you will see the amazing temple of Angkor Wat and visit the Angkor Thom complex which includes the Bayon temple, Terrace of Elephants and Terrace of Leper Kings. You will then continue onto Ta Prohm which is better known for its role in the movie Tomb Raider.

The Grand Angkor tour day trip visits some of the nicest temples of Angkor. Some of the Angkor temples you will see during this tour will be Prasat Kravan, Banteay Kdei, Preah Khan, Neak Pean, Ta Som, East Mebon and Pre Rup temple. Most people visiting Siem Reap will take the Grand tour of the main temple area.

Visit Kbal Spean which was built between the 11th and 13th centuries and famous for the 1,000 Lingas, which are carved into the river bed. You will then continue onto Banteay Srey which was built in the late 10th century and was dedicated to the Hindu God. Banteay Srey basically means "citadel of the women" and Banteay Srey has some of the best carvings of all the temples.

Visit Beng Mealea which is one the most beautiful temples of Angkor. Beng Mealea is surrounded by huge trees which are hundreds of years old. Beng Mealea is normally a very peaceful temple. Continue onto the floating village of Kompong Phluk to see what life is like living on a floating village. You will also have the option to visit the flooded forest.

Visit the Ancient City of Koh Ker which is located 120km from Siem Reap. Koh Ker is not on many tourists itinerary but it is well worth the effort to go and see the place. On the way back from Koh Ker you will visit Beng Mealea which is one the most beautiful temples of Angkor. Beng Mealea is surrounded by huge trees which are hundreds of years old. Beng Mealea is normally a very peaceful temple. If time permits, and you have your Angkor Pass then you can also visit the Roluos Group on the way back to Siem Reap.

You will start with a visit to the floating village of Kompong Khleang and here you will see what life is like on a floating village. You will see food sellers selling from their boats, fishermen fishing for their dinner and school kids rowing themselves to school. You will then continue by boat on to the Tonle Sap before reaching the floating village of Kompong Phluk.

Visit a local village and see what life is like out in the Cambodian countryside. The village tour will depend on the time of year you are visiting to what you will actually see or do on this tour. However, some of the things you might be doing are planting rice, harvesting rice, frog hunting, fishing, ploughing a rice field by oxcart, ant collecting, searching for land crabs, cooking a local lunch and you will most likely be trying the local distilled Cambodian wine!
